Symptoms of Depression
The symptoms of depression are not the same for everyone.
You can easily identify some of the depression symptoms, which can help
you to overcome them. Some of the signs are part of anxiety and stress.
Loss of energy
You will feel like you are not getting enough energy
regardless of what you do. This mental disorder can affect your motivation.
As your energy level drops, your motivational level also sinks. You will
in the loop feeling less energetic and motivated. You have no mood to
do things you like to do in the past.
Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness
This disorder causes you to lose your self worth and
self confidence. You will feel that things are not getting better. Your
future is bleak. Eventually, you can't find joy in living. It is depressing
moment that you can think of committing suicide. So, feeling hopelessness
can become a serious mental illness.
Guilt
Guilt is another signs of depression. You always feel
quilty for things that you not responsible for. Your mind always keep
playing the same events over and over again. This will add more torment
to you. Guilt is destructive and you always lose.
Exhaustion
Exhaustion is one of the common symptoms of depression.
You will feel more exhausted when you are depressed compared to the kind
of exhaustion after a physical activity. You always feel fatigued and
physically drained. It can be debilitating. This exhaustion not only affects
you physically but also mentally. You'll find it so hard to do a simple
task. The duration of sleep will not even help you.
Disturbed Sleeping Patterns
Irregular sleeping patterns are the signs of depression.
Your sleep will be affected during depression. Sometimes you could sleep
more and other times, you could only sleep for a few hours. Usually vivid
nightmares causes the disruption of your sleep. The overworking of the
brain is responsible for creating these nightmares.
Loss of Appetite
It is a common symptom of depression. When you are depressed,
you don't have mood to eat. Only a few sufferers enjoy eating. Loss of
appetite can reduce your energy level and your body requirement of essential
nutrients.
Isolation
Usually you want to be alone. You tend to stay away
from friends and family. However, when you are in solitude, your depression
can turn worse. Usually, you will find it difficult to get out of it because
you could not feel comfortable with people around you. Being alone is
probably the only way for you to avoid this feeling.
Headaches
This is one of the physical symptoms of depression.
Sometimes, the headaches turn into migraine.
Muscle Pain
Your back may hurt or you may have cramps on your legs.
